What the certificate does
It encrypts everything between the visitor's browser and your site, and it proves the site is yours. The browser shows the padlock, search engines rank https pages higher, and forms and payments can be taken safely. Without one, browsers mark the site "Not secure".
- Encryption. 256-bit over TLS 1.3. Passwords, card numbers and form entries cannot be read on the way.
- Trust. Issued by authorities every browser and phone recognises, so there is never a warning.
- Validation. Domain validation checks you control the domain, in minutes. Business validation checks the company too and shows its name.
- Renewal. The free certificate renews itself. A paid one we renew with you before it runs out.
